The Darling Downs Panthers are a HART Series franchise and are seeking Expressions of Interests from experienced coaches, aspiring Assistant Coaches and Managers to help drive our Elite Premier League and HART Series teams in 2022.

The Darling Downs Panthers are a country netball entity and the successful applicants must be prepared to travel throughout the region in the discharging of their duties. Previous representative coaching netball experience is desirable and a knowledge of regional netball operations and its issues is a must.

​

Individuals should send a covering letter and their Current Netball CV to opsmanagerpanthers .

The covering letter should address the following criteria and state which position is being applied for

​

1. Outline previous netball coaching experience.

2. Outline your coaching philosophy and how this would be adapted to the Darling Downs Panthers program.

3.  Outline examples of your successful integration into a vertically integrated coaching environment.

4. Your knowledge of regional netball and the issues it confronts in preparing development and sub elite programs.

Our Position Vision

​

Assistant Panthers Coach (Assistant Coach HART Series)

​

The desired applicant will have a drive for creating a positive progressive culture that is conducive to building long term success for the franchise. The applicant will be expected to be able to successfully integrate with the Darling Downs Panthers Head Coach,  Futures Panthers Coach, ETP Coaching Teams and our Darling Downs Cubs program. They will be expected to assist and aid these programs in there operations and provide technical advice as required.

 

The Assistant Coach is required to possess a minimum of  Development Level coaching accreditation.

​

The successful applicant will be expected to deliver on set key performance indicators and provide active feedback to the Head Coach throughout the season on both performance and team welfare issues.

 

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

​

We are looking for inspirational leaders, who are passionate about regional netball. They must be resilient and believe in both regional and country netball and its future. A knowledge of the Darling Downs is desirable but not necessary.  This position is both a emotionally and physically demanding and we ask all applicants to think seriously before applying.

 

Future Panthers Coach (EPL)

The role of the Futures Panthers Coach is suitable for someone who has a passion for netball and can drive a positive performance culture whilst seeking to make their mark in the netball world.

 

This role will involve extensive travel and time commitment.  Your task will be to prepare the next generation of Panthers for semi professional netball. This will include both training, participation in carnivals and regular weekly games.  These weekly games may involve travel to Brisbane so careful consideration should be given prior to application submission.

We are looking for effective communicators with previous experience at a representative level. A minimum coaching accreditation of Intermediate is required. The applicant must be able to work within a broader framework providing support to both the Head Coach and the Cubs junior program as required. Individuals must also be willing to engage in active learning and feedback whilst in this position. The successful applicant must have a Blue Card prior to the commencement of duties and must also have their own transport.

This position plays a key role in our organisation as it acts as a facilitator to enable the progression of players from our Cubs program to the Panthers team. It requires a high degree of dedication and commitment. A strong background in youth sports is desirable as well as a proven track record in enabling young athletes to balance sporting commitments with other aspects of their life.

 

As with all our positions a belief in regional and country netball is a must. The Panthers believe in country netball and as such all applicants must align with these values. This position requires both dedication and commitment and as such serious consideration should be made before applying.

Apprentice Coach Panthers (Apprentice Coach HART Series)

​

This position is open to any individual who wishes to advance their coaching knowledge and experience in a semi professional environment. A commitment to travel and operate as part of a highly functional coaching team is a must. This would be a first step for those looking to get involved in the HART Series or looking to coach in competitions such as the EPL or the GNBL in the future. This position requires both dedication and commitment and as such serious consideration should be made before applying.

HART Series and EPL Managers

​

Do you love sport ? Cant get enough of Netball ? Would you like the experience of being the hub of one of our teams, on the bench and seeing every moment happen ? Then this may be for you. We are looking for individuals with good communication skills, calm under pressure and are great organisers. The Managers role is what holds the game day operations together from running in game software to making sure the team are in tip top shape to hit the court. You can get no closer to the game than this as you are part of it.  This position requires both dedication and commitment and as such serious consideration should be made before applying.
