ENGAGE, EXCITE, IMPASSION

The Darling Downs and the surrounding regions is the home to a wealth of sporting and netball talent. Our region has been the starting point for multiple Firebirds and Diamond players throughout the years.

Each week through the associations, thousands of players hit the courts and enjoy netball as their chosen sport. Some players choose to participate in the next level of competition, be it the Darling Downs Interdistrict Competition, State Age or Premier League, to test their skills against the regions and the states finest players.

The Darling Downs Panthers are regional and country netball, a fact we are immensely proud of. We believe that every player, no matter where they live, deserves the same opportunity as a player based in major cities. It's not easy but the enduring rural spirit and sense of community is what drives us.

The Panther Pathway is designed to help players that choose to pursue their netball ambitions. It is designed to prepare not only their core skills but also their mind and body as they journey further into competitive netball. Guided and designed by an Elite accredited coach, it gives every player the best chance of pursuing their dreams.

Every journey starts with a first step. The Cubs program embraces every ten to seventeen year old player in the Darling Downs, welcoming them to come and improve their skills and knowledge of the game. Whilst having fun, the players are also being introduced to concepts of health, nutrition and the greater sisterhood of players on the Darling Downs. From this group of athletes selected, participants are then invited to come and participate in a second phase of training and mentoring.
